What We Believe

10.1.0 The Bibe

We believe the King James Version to be an entirely trustworthy and proven translation, therefore, we shall use, uphold and defend it as a landmark for our faith and practice

10.2.0 God

We believe in one God; eternal in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit being the same substance, nature, power, and glory. (John 1:1-4; 1 John 5:7; Gen.1:26; Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Peter 1:20-21; John 16:12-13; Matt. 5:18)

10.3.0   Person and Work of Christ

10.3.1 We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, to reveal God and to redeem man. (John 1:1-2,14; Matt. 1:20-25).

10.3.2 We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by His death upon the  Cross of Calvary, a representative, vicarious, substitutionary, sacrifice, and that our justification has been assured by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.  (Matt.16:28; Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:18-21; 2:24; 2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 9:26.)

10.3.3 We believe in the literal bodily ascension of Christ to the right hand of the Father, and in His present work as High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor. (Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2; Heb. 4:14-16.)

10.3.4 We believe in the personal and imminent return for His Church; that it will be Pre-tribulational and pre-millennial; and the subsequent return of the saints with Him to set up His Millennial Kingdom onEarth. (Acts 1:10-11; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; Zach 14:4-11; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-6; 1 Thes. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 3:10; Matt. 19:28; Psalm 96; Dan.7:13-14.)

10.4.0    The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit.

10.4.1 We believe the Holy Spirit to be the divine person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the agent of redemption and regeneration, who baptizes all believers into the body of Christ, and who indwells and seals every believer into the Day of Redemption, (John 16:8-11; 14:16-17; Titus 3:5; 1 Cor. 12:12-13;Eph. 5:18).

10.4.2 We believe the Holy Spirit to be the promisedComforter; a divine teacher; and that it is the duty and privilege of the saved to be filled with the Holy Spirit. (John 14:16; 16:13; 1 John 2:20,27; Eph.5:18.)

10.5.0 The Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; that through the fall of the federal head of the race, Adam, the race fell; that man inherited a sinful nature; that man is totally depraved; and that man is void of all righteousness; and that he is unable to remedy himself, his separation from God. (Gen.1:26-27; Eph. 2:1-3; Rom. 5:12; 3:10; 3:22-23.)

10.6.0 Salvation

We believe that salvation is a God' gift by His grace to man, and must be received individually by faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for the remission of sin. (Eph. 2:8-9; John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 5:12.)

10.7.0 Eternal Security and Assurance

We believe that the saved are kept by God's provision; and that a believer can know the security and assurance of that provision. (1 John 5:13; John 10:27-30; 6:37-40.)

10.8.0 The Two Natures of the Saved

We believe that every believer has two natures; that God has made provisions for the victory of the new nature over the old; and that the old nature will not be finally eradicated until the change of the physical body to a spiritual body. (Rom.6:13; 8:10-13; Gal.5:16-25; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 3:5-9; 1 Cor. 15:42-44, 50-51).

10.9.0 Separation

We believe that we are pilgrims and strangers her; that our citizenship is in Heaven; that we are therefore to separate ourselves from worldly entanglements and lusts, walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh; and that we are to separate ourselves from all known religious apostasy. (1 Peter. 2:11; Phil. 3:20; Col. 3:1-5; Rom. 8: 1-14; 2 John 9-11; 2 Cor. 6:14-7:1; James 4:4; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Rom. 16:17).

10.10.0 Missions

We believe that it is the duty and the privilege of all believers to be testimony of God's grace, at all times, and in all ways, in keeping with the principles of the Scriptures. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:19-20; Eph. 2:10; Rom. 10:11-15.)

10.11.0 The Church

We believe the Church to be the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ; that it is a spiritual organism of all born-again believers of this age; and that establishment and continuation of local churches is New Testament policy. (Matt. 16:16-18; Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25-27; 1 Cor. 12:12-14, 27; Rom. 12:5; Acts 20:28-32).

10.12.0 Bible Interpretation

We believe in the Dispensational view of Bible interpretation, yet we do not accept the view known as "Hyper-dispensationalism", which does not accept either The LORD's Supper or  Water Baptism as ordinances which the church is to practice in this age. (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 11: 23-26; Acts 16:33; 2 Tim. 2:15; Matt. 13:52.)

10.13.0 Satan

We believe that Satan is a person, who is the cause of the fall of man, and the author of all sin; that he is the enemy of both God and Man; that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire; and that he is the god of this age. (Job2; Isa. 14:12-17; John 16:11; Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:1-3, 7-10.)

10.14.0 The Eternal State

10.14.1 We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; the just to everlasting, conscious blessedness, and the unjust to everlasting conscious punishment. (Matt. 25:46; John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13.)

10.14.2 We believe that the souls of the saved at death, are present with the LORD, awaiting the final glorification in the reunion of the body, soul, and spirit. (Luke 23:43; Rev. 20:4-6; 2 Cor. 5:8, Phil. 1:23; 3:21; 1 Thes. 4:16-17.)

10.14.3 We believe that the souls of the lost, at death, are in a state of conscious misery  until the second resurrection, when soul and body shall be reunited before the White Throne, and then shall be cast into The Lake of Fire to endure everlasting conscious punishment. (Luke 16:19-26; Matt. 25:41-46; 2 Thes. 1:7-9; Jude 6:7; Mark 9:44-48;Rev.20:1-15; John 5:28-29.)

10.15.0 Divorce

We believe that God has ordained that a married person should not have more that one companion. (Matt. 19:8; Mark 10:4-6; Matt. 5:32; Deut. 24:1-4.)

10.16.0 Use of the Church

We believe that the church building should be sanctified unto the LORD for worship and the teaching of His Word. (1 Cor. 11:30-34; Mark 11:15-19; Matt. 21:12-13; Luke 19:45-48.)

10.17.0 Tithing

We believe that God's plan of financing the church is by the tithes and offerings. )Mal. 3:10-12; 1 Cor. 16:2)

11.1.0 The Lord’s Supper

This church shall observe the Lord’s Supper (The Lord’s Table, Communion) and believe that it was instituted by Christ to commemorate His sacrificial death until He returns to claim His own. This church shall observe the Lord’s Supper no less than once each quarter and shall practice what is known as “closed communion”, which is reserved for members in good standing with the church and with a good conscience with God.

 11.2.0 Baptism

This church shall practice and endorse the practice of baptism by immersion of the believer in accordance with the New Testament. Those who profess to be born again and wish to be a member of this church shall be baptized by the pastor.
